Retired at 33? Why it’s property andshares for retirement

In this week's Rask LIVE, Pete Wargent will be joining us to explain the most common property strategies that he (or his clients) use to create wealth right now. Meanwhile, I'll discuss the 'shares side' of the ledger and how I would use both shares and property to supercharge my wealth.

Dear Investor,

I’ve got 3 things to share with you this week.

First. A few weeks ago, I shared this anonymous Google Form with you, to ask for your feedback and stories on what helped you create wealth – and also your biggest losers.

Nearly 200 Rask community members have already helped me out. Thank you! If you have 5 minutes to share your successes and failures, here’s the link again. I’ll be sharing all of the common threads from these wealth-creating strategies for retirement.

I’ll apply the lessons you share with my investing + financial planning knowledge to help us all create strategies that stand the test of time…

One of the things I also discussed in this newsletter last month was my biggest financial mistake: not using property to grow wealth in my 20s.

I’m kicking myself because I wish I bought property and then used that property’s equity as security to buy shares that pay fully franked dividend.

It’s not just a few grand difference. It probably cost me hundreds of thousands of dollars after just 10 years. Maybe even more like a million dollars once all is said and done.

I don’t say that to brag (it’s an admission of a mistake) but to help you avoid the same mistakes I did.

It’s NOT shares OR property (although that’s fun to debate, see below). It’s shares AND property.

Or, put simply, ‘just do something.’

In this week’s Rask LIVE, the second last episode of 2023, I’ve called in the biggest gun in property I know, Pete Wargent.

Pete is the host of The Australian Property Podcast. He’s also our analyst team’s macro consultant. A property coach. Buyer’s agent. Former accountant, and he retired bloody early.

He’ll be joining us to explain the most common property strategies that he (or his clients) use to create wealth right now. Meanwhile, I’ll discuss the ‘shares side’ of the ledger and how I would use both shares and property to supercharge my wealth.

That’s all happening at 6pm Aussie Eastern Time on Wednesday night.

I know Christmas shopping is in full effect, but I hope you can join us LIVE.

Come along and have a candid chat with Pete and myself about our mistakes, successes and the outright triumphs, simply by following this link to YouTube.

To confirm: Wednesday night at 6pm, at this link, Pete Wargent and I will answer your property + shares + retirement questions. See how it all comes together.

Also this week I’ve got two webinars to share with you, courtesy of our friends at The Australian Shareholders Association (ASA).

Both webinars will be conducted via Zoom. Here’s what you need to know.
