Brainchip Holdings Ltd (ASX: BRG) is in a trading halt after making an announcement today.

Brainchip is a software business that is working on bringing AI and high powered computing to more customers.

The trading halt

Brainchip went into a trading halt today in anticipation of an announcement. It will remain in a trading halt until the commencement of normal trading on Thursday or when the announcement is released to the market (whichever is earlier).

The trading halt announcement outlined that the anticipated upcoming announcement is regarding a material customer contract.

Investors will have to wait until the next announcement to find out more about the new contract.

Brainchip has gained sizeable investor interest in recent months. However, I’m not convinced it’s an opportunity, I’m happy to sit on the sidelines and leave the investing to other people for this one.
