ALL ORDINARIES Index Rises, Afterpay (ASX:APT) Shares Up

Australia’s share market, or the All Ordinaries Index (INDEXASX: XAO)(ASX: XAO), is currently up 0.57% at lunch.

The BHP Group Ltd (ASX: BHP) share price is up almost 1% so far, making it one of the biggest contributor’s to the index’s rise.

Fellow mining giant Rio Tinto Limited (ASX: RIO) is up 0.7% due to releasing its December 2018 production figures, showing another big year of volume output.

The Afterpay Touch Group Ltd (ASX: APT) share price is up 11.3% in response to the company’s latest business development update. which showed growth in the US continues to go well.

Shares of Sydney Airport Holdings Pty Ltd (ASX: SYD) are down over 2% with the airport reporting showing that domestic passenger numbers were down in December 2018 compared to December 2017.

The Japara Healthcare Ltd (ASX: JHC) and Regis Healthcare Ltd (ASX: REG) share prices are down down 3.3% and 2.1% respectively with the aged care Royal Commission looming, investors fear it could have a negative impact on the industry’s main operators.
