BHP Billiton Limited (ASX:BHP) reported its half-year operational update to the market today, here’s what was said.

The Australian share market, or S&P/ASX 200 (INDEXASX:XJO)(ASX:XJO), is expected to open positive on Thursday.

Australia’s ALL ORDINARIES (INDEXASX:XAO)(ASX:XAO) closed lower on Wednesday, dragged down by miners like BHP Billiton Limited (ASX:BHP) and Rio Tinto Limited (ASX:RIO).

The Australian share market, or S&P/ASX 200 (INDEXASX:XJO)(ASX:XJO), is expected to open flat on Wednesday.

Australia’s ALL ORDINARIES (INDEXASX:XAO)(ASX:XAO) closed lower on Tuesday despite gains from Bellamy’s Australia Ltd (ASX:BAL) and a2 Milk Company Ltd (Australia) (ASX: A2M).

Bellamy’s Australia Ltd (ASX:BAL) shares bounced 24% higher on Tuesday following a profit guidance upgrade.

This morning, Rio Tinto Limited (ASX:RIO) released its quarterly production numbers and CEO, J-S Jacques, is optimistic.

The Australian share market, or S&P/ASX 200 (INDEXASX:XJO)(ASX:XJO), is expected to open flat on Tuesday.
