BHP On-The-Up As The ALL ORDINARIES Index Rises

Australia’s share market, or the All Ordinaries Index (INDEXASX: XAO)(ASX: XAO), is up by 0.49% at lunch. The BHP Billiton Limited (ASX: BHP) share price is one of the best performers so far today after it reported its March 2018 operational review of production numbers. The share price is up 3.08% at lunch.

Challenger Ltd (ASX: CGF) shares are down 1.62% after the fund manager revealed its March 2018 annuity sales and assets under management figures

BHP spin-off South32 Ltd (ASX: S32) also reported its quarterly update today, the resources company’s share price is up 6.47%.

Alumina Limited (ASX: AWC) was another to reveal quarterly figures today, its shares are up 6.7%.

Resource companies are the winners today, Independence Group NL (ASX: IGO) is up 7.2% today in response to other company’s reports.

At the other end of the performance table, Australian Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (ASX: API) is down nearly 3% after revealing a profit decline in its report and TPG Telecom Ltd

(ASX: TPM) is down 2.5% on a broker downgrade.
