Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ: GOOGL) (NASDAQ: GOOG) is the parent company for Google Inc, Waymo, Nest, Verily and — literally — a company for every letter of the Alphabet. US stock markets were mixed overnight as the Nasdaq pushed higher on the back of strength in Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOGL).
