Ready to get deep & meaningful about your life and what makes you happy?

We’re deviating from our typical finance programming today to talk about what makes us happy and how we’re defining success in our lives. In today’s conversation, Kate Campbell talks to Sarah Scully-Leaf about everything from living life on purpose to making hard decisions and prioritising our own well-being.

This includes topics like:

  • My life is great; why am I not happy?
  • Signs we’re living life on autopilot
  • Setting boundaries in our life
  • Investing in our own personal growth and development
  • Just because it’s hard doesn’t mean it’s the wrong decision
  • Moving out of the planning stage into action

Sarah is the founder of Collected Insight – an education platform that helps people overcome problems that stop them from thriving and living their ideal life. She helps people struggling with imposter syndrome, people pleasing, perfectionism, setting boundaries, and making career changes. Join the waitlist for her upcoming course here.

📝 Life audit exercise

List 1: Look at the ten key areas of your life, rank where they sit out of 10 right now in your life and why:

  • Health
  • Self
  • Family
  • Friends
  • Intimate Relationships
  • Work
  • Finances
  • Adventure
  • Hobbies
  • Spirituality/Purpose

List 2: What is the order of importance of these items in your life?

✅ What actions can you take to align lists 1 and 2 together better?

Every action you take is a vote for the type of person you wish to become. No single instance will transform your beliefs, but as the votes build up, so does the evidence of your new identity. This is one reason why meaningful change does not require radical change. Small habits can make a meaningful difference by providing evidence of a new identity. And if a change is meaningful, it is actually big. That’s the paradox of making small improvements.”
