Investors Podcast: Investing in & Growing a Brand ft. Scott Phillips

Listen to the podcast now

In this episode, I’m joined by Scott Phillips. You may know Scott as the Chief Investment Officer for The Motley Fool Australia.

This podcast was recorded in both audio and video form, so you can watch it on the Rask YouTube page.

Listen now: Spotify – iTunes – Castbox – YouTube

Owen Rask’s notes:

Scott is one of Australia’s leading voices on investing, but also personal finances and shareholder advocacy.

Closer to home, Scott has been instrumental in my development. During my time with The Motley Fool Australia I was privileged to be mentored by Scott and see him develop his own craft up close. It might seem odd for me, and Scott, to do a podcast together given he runs the Motley Fool Money podcast, which sits in iTunes alongside some of Rask’s shows. And because The Motley Fool is a competitor. However, I think Scott’s generosity and willingness to come on the program shows his true character. An honest, humble, straight shooter.

In this episode, we talk about Scott’s journey to becoming an investor. His passion started early. He would request annual reports in the mail and crunch his own ratios. We talk about Scott’s true passions, his lessons learned and more.

I hope you enjoy this episode with Scott Phillps, Chief Investment Officer of The Motley Fool Australia.
