If I had $2,000 to invest into ASX shares then I’d choose these two, including hardware company and wholesaler Metcash Limited (ASX:MTS).

For my own portfolio, I like to find ASX shares that are growing their dividends. Growth is an essential part of the dividend equation for me. I want to see that the dividend increases are funded by growing earnings and/or growing underlying asset values. I also have a portion of my portfolio invested in an ETF that picks undervalued global businesses with strong competitive advantages.
For Rask Media, I have an interest in covering technology (and tech-related) businesses with a global growth story, as well as cyclical companies that are cheaply priced because they’re at a low point in the cycle, such as retailers and resource businesses which could benefit strongly in the medium-term.
If I had $2,000 to invest into ASX shares then I’d choose these two, including hardware company and wholesaler Metcash Limited (ASX:MTS).
